History
Hart Design & Manufacturing has been making superior quality cheese
processing and packaging equipment since 1975. The original company was
formed by two food packaging engineers, Gilbert Hannon and Gerald Schaetz.
Today Hart's engineering, sales and production groups have extensive
backgrounds in the food packing and processing machinery industry.
Hart's reputation brought in an impressive list of early customers. The
company grew rapidly, and in 1981, a new 4,000-square-foot manufacturing
facility was constructed at 1922 Radisson Street, in a new industrial park
on the northeast side of Green Bay. The new facility enhanced Hart
Design's ability to design and manufacture equipment to the highest
standards and quality.
As orders grew, the need for larger manufacturing facilities grew. In
1985, the company expanded to 16,000 square feet and other additions were
made in 1989, 1991 and 1993.
Today, the Hart Design & Manufacturing facility encompasses more
than 40,000 square feet and employs more than 60 craftsmen serving customers
worldwide. Hart Design's sales staff travels the world working closely
with customers, many of whom are the world's top cheese producers, to help
determine the most efficient strategies for satisfying their equipment
needs. The Hart Design sales and engineering team is always meeting with
new or existing customers to discuss new applications and equipment needs.
Customer Service
Rather than have a separate team of field service technicians, Hart
Design's Assembly Teams are also the Field Service Teams. The same
technicians who assembled your equipment in the Hart shop will service
your equipment in your plant. As a result, they thoroughly understand your
particular equipment. From original installation to regular maintenance to
troubleshooting, you talk to the same people. They know your machine.
Solutions
Flexibility, Full Service and Quality are the backbone of Hart Design
& Manufacturing. The craftsmen at Hart Design produce what could be
called a standard line of equipment consisting of systems for Cutting and
Conveying, Filling and Packaging Process Loaf Cheese, Cheese Casting and 8
oz. Cream Cheese Packaging. But that is where the standard ends…and the
client's needs begin.
Every client is special. Every client's need is unique. Hart Design
uses proven technologies to produce quality equipment to specifically
satisfy the client's process or packaging requirements.
Listening to the customer is one of Hart Design's strongest assets. The
Sales, Engineering and Design teams work closely with the client to
determine the most efficient design for their equipment. Some orders begin
with a blueprint, some orders begin with an idea scribbled on a napkin…but
all orders begin with a customer's primary question, "Can you do this…?"…
and in most cases, the Hart Design team can.
